Is it me or are weddings becoming more and more pricey???? Clearly I am in the wrong industry! The beautiful 22-year-old heiress Petra Ecclestone, looked calm and relaxed as she left her hotel and headed to the castle where she married fiancé James Stunt, aged 26. Who is she you might ask...well her father is the British sports entrepreneur and billionaire Bernard Charles "Bernie" Ecclestone, president and CEO of Formula One Management and this little princess stand to inherit daddy’s goldmine. The wedding was a three-day event at Castello Orsini-Odescalchi near Rome in Italy; the couple has been dating for four years. Singer Rihanna was reportedly paid £250,000 to perform at their engagement party in Battersea.
The wedding party saw the who is who and heir and heiress come out to celebrate with the happy couple, the total cost to say ‘I DO’ a mouth crunching £5 million but that’s small change when Daddy is sitting on £4.2 billions. Well this past July, Petra purchased The Manor, in the Holmby Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles, for $85 million, with $82.4 million borrowed from her mother (clearly these people don't speak the language called recession, the government should consider borrowing money from them). It had been on the market for two years with an asking price of $150 million, making it the most expensive residential real estate listing in the US. The 57,000 square feet (5,300 m2) mansion was the former home of Aaron and Candy Spelling, and is the largest residence in Los Angeles County.
