Throwback Tuesdays!

Do you all remember the days when songs had meaning and the videos told you the story? You were engaged and some of those songs will never leave our memories due to the music videos that went along with it (the hairstyles, clothes, and story-lines hmmm memories, just seems like today all you see is darkness or nakedness in videos kmt).

Today is throwback Tuesday and as I deliberated on what to talk about,  I heard my IPad playing the biggest tune of 1996 Keith Sweat ‘Twisted’ and thought to myself damn they sure don’t make songs like this anymore.  There is good music and then there is great music, today we have good music you know the quick stuff just so the artist can make a quick buck and boy do they keep the good stuff coming. But way back when, we sure did have great music, you know the type that had you two stepping and swaying, the type that when you now hear it you instantly remember where you was and what you was doing when it first played, the type that makes you remember your youth and you either smile or cry....either way they sure don’t make them like this anymore. I love this song and after writing this piece I had it on repeat 4 more times...like I said there’s good music and great music and great music you'll never get tired of!

Too Slick!

too too right Nai! there was great music in the mid to late 90's. though, i think music is evolving with time. sure cant forget the boyz II men, swv (sister's with voices),en vogue, jade, salt n pepa, brandy.... to mention a few. sure do miss "the good old days". so, I'll say, music is the language of ages. I just really hope, and pray that music would not get any darker! If wishes were horses though! lol!
