Book Review Wednesday: A Piece of Cake by Cupcake Brown

I am a lover of books and every so often I find myself wondering into any bookstore looking for a compelling yet inspiration book to keep me motivated and to help me realise that my problems are small compared to what others have been through.(plus I like to expand my vocabulary beyond the common words I hear daily) But never did I imagine that this book would leave me in tears and prayers for the author. 'A Piece of Cake' is a heart felt story that takes your imagination beyond the normal phase of life, you find yourself wondering how so much hurt can happen to one person from a young age up until adulthood. "The memoir is an inspirational story of a young girl lost in the system and left to fend for herself and forced to survive on her own in any way that she could, which she did through prostitution, drugs, alcohol, gangs, violence, and crime. Ultimately, through the encouragement of those who recognized her abilities and worth, and their continued support until she too began to recognize those qualities herself, she completely turns her life around". This book motivated me beyond the boundaries I was searching for, its Real, Edgey, Compelling, Motivating, Inspirational, Emotional and Sensational.
